I'm so happy!
I thought I'd killed another electric fry pan
but I think the old freezer I'd been given
years ago, that has died and blown the fuse.
Which necessitated doing this...
That's NOT blood by the way!!
The plums I had in here (several bags' full)
unfortunately had started defrosting..
So I thought since I had better clean out the freezer
I'd try dyeing some calico with the plum juice!
The fabric...
...came out pretty neat!
Of course I haven't used a mordant
or fixative so it'll probably wash right out
but I'm still happy with my experiment.
I stripped the leaves from the grape vine
...and these went into the pan to "cook"
I'm not sure whether they'll make paper
or not but I won't know if I don't try!
